Swindon Town 2 - 3 SWFC [13 Aug 2003|12:10am]
littleblueowl
2 Miglioranzi (31), Igoe (57)
3 Owusu (5),(20), Kuqi (25)

OK, New season has just kicked off, we are likely to get promoted, so lets get this community started! Anyone at the county ground on Saturday?

Was owusu's goal actually his??
I couldn't make it down, but I downloaded and was watching the highlights on Wednesday World and the goal looked dodgy at best...The 2nd was class though.
lol, has anyone actually ever seen us counter as well as we did for the goal on saturday at any time over the last 10 years??

Official Match Summary

"Three goals in 20 first half minutes set SWFC on the way to victory
and they held out despite a Swindon fightback in the second half. Owusu took
the credit for the opener from Cooke's delivery (5) and hooked home a second
from Kuqi's cross 15 minutes later. Kuqi was then on the scoresheet from Evans'
low centre (24) before Miglioranzi pulled one back (31). Igoe made a 3-2 with
a 57th min free kick while Holt came close to adding a fourth late on."

Well it's over :( we're in division 2. It was pretty easy to come to terms with to be honest, because I'd be lying if I said I wasnt expecting it. but, oh well.

so we managed a draw....I guess that's better than a loss huh?

Has everyone given up on the hope of surviving in division 1 yet or do you think we can still do it? granted we have been playing a bit better than most of the season but is it too late?

Did anyone see the official statement on swfc.co.uk a while back saying that we are safe from the threat of administration until 2004... is this something to worry about? I'd like to think that if we went down to the second we'd bounce straight back up again....but I remember thinking that when we got relegated from the premiership.....

New SWFC Community on Derby Day...quite fitting I think.
Here's hoping for a great night similar to back in September...would be nice! :)
